Liantonio joins AXA XL from CNA where he was Head of Commercial Private Equity Underwriting for the East region. Prior to CNA, he held positions at Travelers, also with a focus on private equity and mergers and acquisitions, and Zurich North America. Liantonio started his underwriting career at Greater New York Insurance Companies.

The US mid-market team is expected to officially begin underwriting activities in July. At launch, the team will offer workers’ compensation, commercial auto, general liability, property and roofing coverage.
Last month, AXA XL expanded its fine art team with several important appointments. In January, the company AXA XL Risk Consulting hired six new employees.
