Noteworthy: Murphy is one of the most gifted shooters in the area, especially from beyond the arc. The senior point guard scored 34 points in a 69-60 Marmonte League win over Westlake before tallying 28 in a 75-63 league win over Newbury Park last week. He converted on 21 of 42 shot attempts in those two games and made 10 3-pointers while adding nine rebounds and nine assists. Murphy, the reigning Marmonte League MVP, is averaging 25.4 points and five assists per game this season and has made 88 shots from downtown.
The Coyotes will play their final two games of the regular season at Oaks Christian Tuesday night and at home against Agoura Thursday night.
