McLarens Appoints Vice President of Corporate Development as COO | Insurance business America
New C-suite member who also oversees investment strategy and product development

Jon Clark (pictured) has been promoted to chief operating officer of global claims services provider McLarens. The new position will see Clark join McLaren’s C-suite, underlining the company’s continued expansion of its global specialty offering.
In his role as COO, Clark will drive the development and improvement of McLarens’ operations while overseeing the company’s investment strategy and new product development. By collaborating with regional and other C-suite executives, he will also seek to strengthen global partnerships and effectively scale the business.
Since joining McLarens in April 2020, Clark has played a critical role in transforming the business from a claims business to a broader claims services provider with a focus on complex, commercial and specialty insurance markets.
Previously, Clark served as vice president of corporate development and led the global expansion of McLarens’ forensic and technical services. His team’s efforts resulted in 13 successful M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) transactions, expanding the firm’s reach into engineering, forensic science and investigations, and construction consulting.
Clark’s career includes significant positions in global companies where he led business development. Prior to McLarens, he was Vice President of Global Strategy at a listed financial services company, Group Chief Financial Officer at an Australian specialty finance firm and Managing Director at a mid-market investment bank.
Explaining his wider remit, Clark said: “In line with our strategy to deliver better results for the complex, commercial and specialist insurance markets, the McLarens business has evolved significantly in recent years, expanding our international presence and introducing new offerings.” and the expansion to completely new service lines.

Meanwhile, CEO Gary Brown commented: “McLarens is now a multidisciplinary business of significant size and it is vital that our global C-suite reflects this and provides a solid foundation for the next phase of our development.”
“Jon’s unique experience and expertise in finance, global service scalability, operational efficiency and business development will help McLarens continue on this journey and ultimately deliver better outcomes for our customers.”
The CEO added: “He is an exceptional leader who has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to McLarens. I am pleased that he has taken on this important role.”
