Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a subsidiary of Marsh, has announced that Anne Rappa (pictured above) will join the company as director of fine arts and species, effective May 20.

In this new role, Rappa will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative and customized solutions to protect customers’ valuables from current threats.

Based in New York, Rappa will work with the Marsh McLennan Agency and Marsh teams in the US and London to provide global expertise and solutions to individuals, museums, universities, art galleries and private collectors.

Rappa comes to Marsh McLennan Agency from Aon’s Huntington T. Block Insurance Agency, a fine art insurance brokerage, where she served as senior vice president. She has nearly 30 years of art insurance experience, handling large and complex museum, commercial, private and corporate collections risks.

Bill Jeatran, President of Marsh McLennan Agency, commented on the appointment.

“Anne is an outstanding client advocate whose passion and understanding of the art market makes her the perfect fit to lead this new practice for the Marsh McLennan Agency and expand our capabilities and resources in the fine arts space,” said Jeatran.

Elsewhere for MMA

Marsh McLennan Agency’s other recent developments include the acquisition of AC Risk Management (ACRM), an independent commercial lines brokerage firm based in Melville, New York. Founded in 2012, the company provides property and casualty insurance for companies, particularly in the construction sector.

Additionally, the company has announced plans to acquire top 100 U.S. insurance broker Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance (FBBI) for nearly $316 million, as MMA expands its presence in the state of Florida and Mississippi and expands its reach in Alabama want.
