High winds uprooted a large tree Tuesday in Valley Glen, causing major damage to a single-family home in Valley Glen.
The tree fell, crushing a wrought-iron fence and striking the home on the 6500 block of Mammoth Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene but had to wait for the Department of Building and Safety and the Department of Water and Power to arrive.
No injuries were reported.
