FM Global signs sponsorship with top LGPA star | Insurance business America

Commercial property insurer FM Global has expanded its involvement in professional golf by sponsoring top Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) golfer and New Englander Megan Khang for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The 26-year-old Khang has earned recognition on the LPGA Tour with 38 career top-10 finishes since her debut in 2016, including her first Tour victory at the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open in Canada and a third-place finish at the LPGA Drive On Championship in Florida this January. Located just 60 miles from FM Global’s headquarters in Rhode Island, its New England roots underscore the importance of the partnership.
Sponsorship for two seasons
The collaboration is in line with FM Global’s commitment to the sport, highlighted by the launch of the FM Global Championship – an LPGA tournament running from August 29 to September 1, 2024 at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts, USA , is being held for the first time. The event is expected to feature the largest prize pool of any LPGA Tour event outside of the majors and Tour Championship.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Khang highlighted the shared values between herself and the insurer.
“I am very excited to join the FM Global team. We share a belief in hard work, resilience and the pursuit of excellence,” she said. “We both understand the importance of assessing and reducing risk – and recovering quickly from adversity – be it a natural hazard that threatens a business or community, or a hazard on the golf course that could disrupt my game .”
Malcolm Roberts, president and CEO of FM Global, praised Khang as an ideal partner to promote women’s professional golf in New England.

FM Global Championship 2024
The sponsorship includes Khang wearing the FM Global logo on her clothing and attending various company events throughout the year, including taking part in the 2024 FM Global Championship.
The 2024 FM Global Championship marks the LPGA Tour’s first return to New England since the 2004 US Women’s Open and its first appearance in the Greater Boston area since 1997, marking a significant moment for golf in the region.
