Hub International Limited has further expanded its geographic reach in the Northwest region by acquiring the assets of Pollock Insurance, Inc.
Founded in 1948, Pollock Insurance is an independently owned and operated agency in Burien, Washington. It specializes in commercial and personal insurance products.
With the acquisition, Pollock Insurance will now be known as a Hub International company, according to a company statement. Agency owner Andrea Pollock Wood and her team will also be joining Hub Northwest.
Swoop Pollock Insurance is the latest in a series of acquisitions Hub has announced this year. The brokerage firm is on an M&A spree as part of a strategy to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen its expertise and product offering.
“M&A is one of our main drivers,” Hub Chief Technology Officer Seth McCallister said in an interview with Insurance Business in 2022. “We have strong organic growth combined with our mergers and acquisitions and that is our secret sauce for us. “
In March, Hub also announced its acquisition of the assets of Onecap Services and Preferred Services Group. They are based in New York and offer property and casualty insurance coverage, as well as individual and group benefit products, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and voluntary benefits.
Earlier that same month, Hub acquired the assets of Bolds Risk & Insurance Services. This California-based company provides commercial and personal insurance and risk management services.
Hub International is a full-service broker offering products and services in risk management, insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning and wealth management. The company currently employs over 17,000 people in multiple offices across North America.
